Vidya Shah is the executive chairperson of EdelGive Foundation, the philanthropic arm of the Edelweiss Group, and a board member at Edelweiss, a leading financial services conglomerate. She spent the first 11 years of her career in investment banking with firms including ICICI Bank, Peregrine, and NM Rothschild in Mumbai, advising corporations on capital raising and M&A transactions.
At Edelweiss, as Chief Financial Officer, she oversaw finance, human resources, and administration before turning her focus fully to EdelGive. Under her leadership, EdelGive has become one of India’s most prominent venture philanthropy platforms—channeling capital and strategic support to grassroots NGOs working on education, livelihoods, and gender equity.
Vidya brings ERFIP a rare vantage point: a career built on both sides of the capital table, and a firsthand understanding of what it takes to move resources from financial markets into the hands of organizations doing the work on the ground in India.
